Welcome to The Junction!

The Junction offers a one day a week course for students in Years 9, 10 and 11. A number of students attend for more than one day, and up to four days a week provision is available. It is run by Eaton Hall Specialist Academy and it is aimed at students who could do with a more practical, hands-on approach than is offered by GCSEs at school. The programme works towards a nationally recognised qualification accredited by ASDAN, including a range of Short Courses and the Award of Personal and Social Development (AoPSD), Certificate of Personal and Social Development (CoPSD) and Key Steps which if achieved are equivalent to GCSE.

All courses are designed to teach skills and knowledge that we all use in adult life. Short Courses currently running are RoadWise, Volunteering, Sports and Fitness and FoodWise. There is a wide variety of ASDAN modules to choose from as well as other qualifications such as Emergency First Aid in the Workplace and Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificates which are fantastic qualifications to leave school with!

Courses are delivered from Stalham Infant School, and Eaton Hall Specialist Academy between 9:30 am and 2:45 pm term time.

STUDENT'S VIEWS

"I like coming to the Junction because it gives us a lot more independence than if we were at school and it gives us some extra GCSEs and more things to pass so we have more to leave with. It's also nice to have a day out."
